Schools and education at the museum
For school children – from primary school classes to advanced secondary school pupils – the Eintracht Frankfurt Museum offers a wide range of lessons featuring problem-oriented activities.
Primary school children can compare and contrast the early days of professional football in Germany with the modern game, as well as the different social circumstances and living conditions in the city at the time. The kids also get to see the boots, footballs and shirts that their great-great grandfathers would have used, learn why the club didn’t have a shirt sponsor for over 70 years and why the Eintracht mascot is an eagle, not a goldfish. The ‘World XI’ workshop, meanwhile, teaches them that Frankfurt’s players really do herald from all over the globe.
The Eintracht Frankfurt Museum offers secondary school pupils special guided tours and workshops on the following topics as part of special project weeks, or in conjunction with history or political courses: ‘Ein Fußballgott auf heiligem Rasen – Fußball und Religion’ (‘A football god on holy turf – football and religion’), ‘Schnuddel, Stahl und Rote Karten – Wie war der Fußball vor einhundert Jahren’ (‘Lacing, steel and red cards – what was football like 100 years ago?’), ‘Weltauswahl Eintracht – Woher kommen die Frankfurter Jungs’ (‘Eintracht’s World XI – where do Frankfurt’s players come from?’), ‘Juddebube und Schlappekicker – Fußball im Nationalsozialismus’ (‘Jewish boys and Slipper Kickers – football under National Socialism’) and ‘Kurvendiskussion – Fußball und Gewalt’ (‘Chat on the terraces – football and violence’).
- Guided tours or workshops: €9 per person, €90 minimum per group
Children’s birthday parties
Young Eagles fans between the ages of seven and 14 have the opportunity to celebrate their birthdays with their friends at a very special venue. After learning about Eintracht’s greatest achievements in a special kids’ tour and enjoying a game of table football, they can choose from a selection of soft drinks to boost their energy levels for the main event: the stadium itself, where the kids get to take a peek behind the scenes and celebrate in places that are normally reserved for the first-team squad. Needless to say, the birthday boy or girl and their friends will all receive a present.
- Price: €18.50 per person. Minimum number of participants: six children, one adult.
- Kids’ birthday party information flyer
- Birthday party invitation
